The Double Cross (1996)Iron Throne may be in contention, but the award for Wiliest Person in Westeros on Game of Thrones has always belonged to Petyr Baelish, a.k.a. Littlefinger (Aidan Gillan). Littlefinger is a creep, a liar, a master manipulator and a mildly psychotic social climber.

So why is this guy still around? Can he even be killed without a wooden stake? We're about ready for him to get killed -- ideally by Sansa -- but don't be shocked if he has another signature betrayal up his sleeve.

In honor of Littlefinger's (hopefully) impending demise and all the times he's been an incomparable piece of shit, here's a look back at all the ways he betrayed people who trusted him in the years we've come to know this freak.

1. Having Jon Arryn killed

Jon Arryn's death always seemed like the work of the Lannisters, especially when we learn that he had likely learned the truth about Joffrey's parentage. Alas, the former hand of the king's death was orchestrated by Petyr Baelish, and executed by his wife Lysa, who for some godforsaken reason has lifelong hots for Littlefinger (more on that later). Why kill Jon Arryn? To throw Westeros into chaos -- we know how Littlefinger feels about chaos.

2. Lying about the dagger

When an unknown assassin attacked the bedridden Brandon Stark with a dagger, his mother fought off the assailant. The weapon -- made of Valyrian steel and now back in Winterfell -- allegedly belonged to Tyrion Lannister ... according to Littlefinger. This is a lie, because he is a liar.

3. Betraying Ned Stark to his death

In Season 1, Baelish was slimy, but Ned saw this as the type of casual creepiness you can sort of power through and ignore when you work with someone. But underestimating Petyr Baelish turned out to be fatal for Ned Stark, who was convicted of treason and then beheaded at the Sept of Baelor.

4. Killing Ros

Ros was a prostitute in Winterfell when we met her, but she always exhibited remarkable ambition and a keen awareness for people's motivations and weaknesses. Unfortunately, she got tangled in the tenuous power struggle between Varys and Littlefinger, and ends up betraying the latter and paying with her life.

5. Planning Joffrey's murder

Everything about Joffrey's murder points to Sansa and Tyrion, even to viewers who knew they didn't do it. Joffrey bullied Tyrion relentlessly, and the poison that killed him came from Sansa's necklace -- and who planted that necklace but Petyr Baelish?

6. Killing Lysa Arryn

Even his unrelenting love of Tully women doesn't compel Petyr to spare Lysa Arryn shortly after their wedding. In the moment, she attacked Sansa out of a wild fit of paranoia and insecurity -- so take note, enemies of Lady Stark: Littlefinger will throw you off a cliff without thinking twice.

7. Marrying Sansa to Ramsay Bolton

Alliance shmalliance, are you serious, bro? He may have saved Sansa's skin before, but in his attempts to take the North, Baelish lost Lady Stark forever when he handed her off to a known sadist.

So there's the enormous pile of evidence, folks.

Littlefinger is a compulsive traitor, and his final act before Sansa and Arya team up to destroy him will probably cause a ripple effect that destroys all of Westeros -- unless the White Walkers get there first.
