Taco Bell is Melodrama Archivesgetting into the nugget game, but don't you dare call them nuggets.
A few months ago, Taco Bell unleashed the Naked Chicken Chalupa, which was basically a piece of deep fried chicken used as a taco shell. But the Chalupa was only available for a limited time, and was taken off the menu after about a month. To fix your deep-fried chicken cravings, Taco Bell is now releasing Naked Chicken Chips, which is basically the shell from the Naked Chicken Chalupa in chip form.

Call them chips all you'd like, but these are basically triangle-shaped chicken nuggets, and we approve, because they come with a side of Taco Bell's cheese sauce.
The nuggetschips are marinated all-white-meat chicken covered with "bold Mexican spices and seasoning" and paired with its Nacho Cheese dipping sauce. Customers will be able to purchase them as a 6-piece for $1.99, a 12-piece for $2.99, or in a combo with a Burrito Supreme, Crunchy Taco and medium drink for $5.

The nuggetschips will be available starting May 11, but only for a limited time. Hopefully these will last a little longer than the Naked Chicken menu items that came before them.
