The softcore moviesfiery speeches and charisma of First Lady Michelle Obama have got some people thinking, maybe even hoping, she might run for office herself one day.

But President Barack Obama dashed those hopes on Friday.

Her speech at the DNC nearly stole the show and a visibly emotional delivery of a speech denouncing Trump's sexual abuse allegations have all thrust her into the spotlight even more this election. Now she's campaigning alongside Hillary Clinton.

And along the way, she's captured the hearts of many Americans.

“She is as talented and brilliant a person as there is, and I could not be prouder of her, but Michelle does not have the patience or the inclination to actually be a candidate herself," Obama continued. "And that’s one thing y’all can take to the bank.”

Like another Democratic power couple, Obama said the two will continue their charity efforts through causes such as Let Girls Learn, an initiative promoting education for teenage American girls.

“We’re going to be doing a lot of work," he said. " We’ll just be doing it a different way.”
